1986 BMW R100s for sale in Severna Park, Maryland

$7,250

For Sale is my fully restored 1986 R100s, I've owned the bike since September of 2016. During the Winter of 2020 I decided to rebuild/restore my bike which was born an R80RT. After a total dismantling the top end was rebuilt with `79 1000cc (9.5 CR) pistons running in nikasil cylinders and NOS single spark cylinder heads. The engine block was dismantled for a thorough cleaning and reassembled to spec.
The NOS engine parts include: crank & thrust washers, cam, timing chain - sprockets - guides, oil pump – cover, clutch assembly, stator, diode board, and a pair of NOS valve covers. New engine parts include: an aftermarket starter, gaskets & O-rings, EME solid diode board mounts, piston rings, plug wires, SS headers & H-pipe with “as new” stock mufflers. Carburetion is supplied by a pair of 38mm Mikuni round slide carbs. The transmission was rebuilt, new bearings installed and the “cir-clip” was machined into the output shaft.
Powder coated parts include: the frame, sub-frame, swing arm, front end lowers, disk brake rotor carriers, bar risers, seat cowl grab rail, front foot pegs, center stand, head light bucket & HL ears, front engine cover, timing chest cover, starter cover, and air box have been powder coated using satin black. The wheels, side stand, shifter & rear brake lever where powder coated a metallic gray.
The bike is painted a 2017 Porsche 911 color, GRAPHITE BLUE METTALIC, which seems to change color hues as the amount of direct sunlight changes.
Chassis improvements include: rebuilt calipers, new floating rotors, new brake pads & pins, new fork seals, new fork tubes & Race Tech fork springs, new bearing at the front wheel, steering head, and swing arm, new 13mm master cylinder, new SS front brake line, new handlebar switches, new Continental CONTI GO tubeless tires, a new BMW S-fairing, new Bumm mirrors, new YSS rear shock, new Westco battery, and an “as new” Corbin Canyon Dual Seat. All the gauges work as they should. The speedometer was rebuilt a set to “0” and the speedo gearing matches that of the final drive.
I've ridden the bike 1088 miles so far and the oil & filter have been changed twice, once at 100m and again at 700m. At the time of the oil changes the cylinder heads were re-torqued and the rockers adjusted. Next scheduled service is at 3,700 miles.
The sale of this bike will include a

title in my name, a pair of locking panniers, and an original, complete BMW tool kit. Only serious people need inquire.
